5 Reasons why you Constantly wake up with Headaches

Everyday for about three months straight I’d awake from my sleep with a terrible headache. This was immediately following the lapse in my workout routine. I started sitting on my ass and this is what happened. I was so sure it was a brain tumor but guess what just because you have headaches in the mornings and consistently I might add… does not mean you have a brain tumor. If its accompanied by blackouts, unexplained bleeding, or vomiting I’d say seek medical attention immediately otherwise this list is a good place to start. Turns out my problem was hydration related… anytime I don’t take in 32 ounces of fluids or more in a day BOOM I wake up with a problem.

1. Dehydration – Your body pretty much uses up everything it has overnight to recover from the previous day whether it was strenuous or not is really quite irrelevant.
2. Excessive wind, cold , heat – These things can wreak havoc on their own but the effect can be magnified if your already prone to problems with your sinuses or allergies!
3. Too much sleep, Too little sleep – There is definitely a sweet spot somewhere in between. You’ll have to find it though.
4. Sleep Apnea – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_apnea
5. Clenching/Grinding your teeth – Unless your sleeping with someone regularly or involved in a sleep study you probably won’t even know your guilty of this but if you are and some how you’ve found out about it… yes this shit can cause some real serious headaches!
