Artist Spotlight On Con-Man (@CONMANSOUND)

con-man

Con-man hails from Springfield, Massachusetts where the great sport of basketball originates from. He relocated to a small town in Connecticut (where he can be found today) in his later teen years.

His name is a pseudonym derived from the word, “conscious “, which is the relationship between the mind, and the world with which it interacts, aware of one’s own existence, sensations, thoughts, surroundings, etc. He clearly lives up to his image through his expressive ability to articulate in his music. Although his passion for music supercedes his drive for financial gain, Con-Man’s primary objective is to do his part in restoring the essence of Hip-hop to its original state as it once used to be, when it was truly about the love of music for your craft, and the art form.

He is one of the few who realizes that money is merely a by-product of doing something you love. He focuses on making hit records and is his own featured artist. Con-Man is a jack of all trade and consider himself an asset to any record label or company with hopes in the future of garnering buzz and eventually a recording deal.

From local venues throughout his home state in Connecticut, to larger scale debuts such as live performances on “The Howard Stern Show and Maury Povich” in 2005, Con-Man persists to shock its listeners with his bold, innovative, energetic, and creative style. Never limiting his artistic aptitude he continues to break barriers unknown by simply being himself, specializing in Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop, Reggae/reggae tone genres. Through trial and tribulation from failed groups in the past, Con-Man decided to showcase his remarkable talent, flying solo for success.

Con-Man’s principal aim is to forge his own lane in the music industry without compromising his creative integrity. To be able to freely record material that defines his personality in a comfortable setting, does not seem to be too farfetched for a person who does everything from production, to writing, to engineering his own material. Con-Man is the epitome of operating independently, whose ultimate goal is to acquire a contract with one of the music industries major labels.
