Matt Black is a Michigan based MC and producer. Black honed his skills in the Midwest music scene by performing frequently in Detroit, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Chicago. He received his first national exposure when he was featured on One Be Lo’s “Laborhood: Part III” mixtape in early 2012. I like to refer to myself as a chef in the studio and a student out of it. I am an old school Hip Hop producer and DJ, bringing a fresh style to the golden era. I am a 19 year old student, who has been producing now for just over 2 years, with a knowledge of Hip Hop which extends to the very beginning and that knowledge is very much imminent in my productions. My favourite producers consist of DJ Premier, DOOM, Madlib, Large Professor, Marco Polo, and J Dilla and their work has also had a heavy influence on my style.

Qwestions (born September 14, 1989), from Chicago, has been in love with music forever. Watching music videos and documentaries of music acts made him want what the greats have. Secretly writing rhymes at 8, that were formally poems, he realized he may have some type of talent. But fearing that nobody would like the songs he abandoned his songwriting and poetry dreams. In 2005, he traveled to Milwaukee; where he saw the Hieroglyphics crew perform. The show was so crazy that from that day on he knew making music is what he wanted to do.
